who pooped the bed?

okay. not really, but a great title, right?

random thoughts about this week so far:

(1) ribs are a central and sensitive place for a huge tattoo. cannot wait to be able to bend and twist (i.e. workout) again!
(2) for me, a boring person without a lot of free time, my breakfasts and lunches are always about the same. breakfast is usually a piece of leftover meat from dinner or sliced sara lee low sodium turkey breast, an apple or two, and almonds or walnuts. sorry, Cori, LOOOVE the walnuts. lunch is usually a trip down to the building cafeteria salad bar: fresh spinach, some sort of vegetable, olive oil, and either fresh sliced roasted turkey or the fish of the day if that looks edible. before the paleo thing, i'd always put some sort of cheese on there, too and get a HUGE diet coke. i'm coping.
(3) dinners this week have been good, and mostly fish for some reason. grilled salmon one night, pan fried catfish the other. with sides of either stir-fried broccoli (lots) or stir-fried green beans (we love the wok in our house). we also always have a salad of tomato of some sort, mostly with avocado chunks in it and some fresh herb from the garden.

long (boring) story short, the eating has been okay, but i'm not really sure how it's affecting me because i can't really work out. i guess i'll find that out next week.

also, huge paleo challenge coming up: wedding out of town with lots of crazy relatives that are much funnier when i'm intoxicated. what is the most paleo of all the hard liquors???

  1. Awesome list!

Keep up the good work. I have heard that a small amount of tequila is okay and also a glass of red wine here and there....

I'm sure its not enough to make everyone more humerous, but its worth a shot. Good luck this weekend! I challenge you to NOT cave in...

  2. Completely agree about the tattoo location, although I was able to work out within a couple a days. It just hurt. A lot.
