Hello Paleo World~

That last recipe was probably not as paleo-friendly but I'm sure you can make adjustments to make it paleo. Anyways...

Hello Paleo World~

I am officially going paleo. I tried once after the first time I heard about it- no bread; no potatoes. It was going well for 2 weeks and I was especially motivated because I wanted to look good on my wedding day. I had no real problem with getting rid of dairy since I am lacto-sensitive (which isn't exactly lactose-intolerant but just sensitive to large quantities of dairy) and I have the alcohol tolerance of.. well, an Asian! So those two things weren't a factor but the biggest thing that stopped me in my paleo tracks was... the husband. And at that time, the fiance. He's of German descent which means he loves cheese; potatoes; fat and above all- beer. After the initial first 2 weeks, he started to wonder where all the bread went and how come we were eating steamed vegetables on the side instead of our usual starch. He asked me about it. I shyly said that I wanted to cut off those things that I would normally eat to look good for the wedding. He complied for 2 more weeks and then he put his foot down. I still didn't eat potatoes but found myself sneaking some bread and cheese once a week. After the wedding, we went on our honeymoon and all anti-paleo hell broke loose: wineries; artisan breads; CHEESE; tacos, basically a gorge-fest. And why not? It was our flippin' honeymoon but now is a good time as ever to get back on that paleo wagon and I aim to... even if I have to drag my hedonist husband through it.

Oh and btw, let's all continue to swap notes on what's paleo and what's not. I don't want to break any rules...
