Ashley is the hundred and five dollar baby

I have to be honest. Today was rough, after working out I wanted to eat cookies and Burger King, gross right? I never eat Burger King, I just had strong cravings this evening, but managed to stay straight. WOD today felt like shit, I was able to squat my 100% on my last set, but only got in two, not three. I'm down by this because the other two I worked out with were able to do the same weight so easily and I've struggled since I've done xfit with my squats. Struggle!!!!! DU's were a joke, I tripped over my foot the first three tries, and was able to get in the first 50 very slowly, then folded and went to singles for the rest of the WOD. Like a group of fat girls that weren't asked to prom, I wanted to eat that misery away with onion rings, reese's pb cups and cookies, but I feel good that I did not.

Today for breakfast, I had leftover chicken and sausage from the Publican. Lunch I met my aunt at The Italian Village and had a salad with shrimp, hard boiled egg, artichoke, olive oil and lemon juice as the dressing. I had a handful of pistachios as a snack and for dinner I had some of my paleo meatballs with no sugar added spaghetti sauce and spaghetti squash.

Collin, sorry buddy but seriously you have to get rid of that DC. Your daily DC is like me consuming a daily Reese's peanut butter cup. You can do it...slowly wean yourself off. Congrats Beck on the house, but I have to call your ass out as well, cheese? Come on.....eat an avocado instead. Yummy and creamy. Sorry to be captain asshole, but I do it because I love you guys. Ahhhhh, now knock that shit out.

  2. @ J$ - share away! that is what this blog is meant for (oh, and to keep us from eating BANANA BREAD)

Speaking of - Beck - you gotta cut that shit out! Bread, cheese, oreo shakes.... I am with Ashley on this one, no posting non-paleo foods that I may start craving and salvating all over my keyboard.....

  3. Beck - Congrats on the house! Awesome!!

Back and Collin - Cheese? DC? Protein shakes? BREAD?!?! C'mon peeps! You are better than that! Giving up those things for 6 measly weeks is not hard. Cancer is hard. Poverty is hard. This is not hard. Just try it. Give yourself at least that opportunity. I used to be a DC fiend. So did my mom. It ended up giving my mom irregular heart rhythms. No joke. As soon as she stopped the irregular rhythms decreased. Turns out she also has a sensitivity to preservatives and ended up having a mini-stroke that landed her in the hospital. Once she started eating “clean” – including no DC, no foods with any preservatives i.e. just eating natural, home prepared foods, all symptoms stopped. That shit is poison. As for cheese – lord do I love cheese but I wonder how my body feels about it… I am using this challenge to see if I can increase my lean muscle mass/decrease my body fat % by eliminating dairy. I know when Ash did this last time she made huge strides and girlfriend didn’t have a drop of dairy. I tried the same thing but WITH dairy and didn’t see the improvements she did. (Paleo) food for thought…

  5. Justin, post this shit. Honestly the point of the blog was to inspire others so they can see how we really feel as we are going through this challenge.
