Today was not a good day at the box. I wasn't feel as strong as I usually do which is strange for it being the 3rd week in and I started to get pretty light-headed after the FSs. I blame it on traveling over the weekend. Sunday night I got probably 3 hours of sleep before my flight and that threw my sleep schedule for a loop. I also think I'm just not getting enough protein.
Bleah. On the up side, went to the Farmer's Market in Lincoln Sq and picked up ingredients for Yaz's Chicken Thigh and Mushrooms recipe. It's also a beautiful day out. Enjoy it if you can.
Not that I've been drinking much, but if you have to blame something, blame it on the a-a-a-alcohol...
Laney - you probably need to up your protein. My lifts have been feeling terrible lately as well. I lost some lean muscle mass between my first weigh in and my mid challenge check (a huge sign I need more protein). I was also just looking at what I usually ingest and I really need to up mine. May need to resort to protein shakes to get it done...
ReplyDeleteYaz - Was your first test using the calipers and the second using the impedance test? That alone will account for some differences in measurements, along with time of day and hydration levels.
ReplyDeleteI know these tempo lifts have been taking their toll on me....but otherwise feel good. My biggest problem is lack of sleep.
Drew - no, both tests were from Steve B - which were actually almost identical in results to Cori's calipers.
