Just some tips....

Jacob, check it: http://www.crazywifecrossfit.com/2008/07/why-diet-soda-is-devil.html

Long story short, about 4 years ago I had very high calcium caused by two parathyroid tumors. After I had them removed, my endocrinologist asked me to stop drinking diet soda for at least six months, because the chemicals in the soda extract calcium from your bones. It's been almost four years now and I rarely drink soda at all, maybe a root beer here and there. Coke Zero is the Euro formula for Coca Cola Light, it uses a different chemical as a sweetener as at one point aspartame was banned in Europe, though I do not think it is anymore. If you do some research, like all things food, you'll see arguments on both sides. I've heard from health nuts that regular soda is better than diet soda (HFCS vs. Aspartame and other chemical sweeteners) but neither can be good for you. I now have a new addiction to Unsweetened iced tea. Go buy yourself some bags, boil some water add about 5 bags and some fresh mint leaves and then enjoy. It will take your body a while to adapt to the flavor of unsweetened ice tea vs. diet soda or soda, but now I can't even drink diet soda it tastes so bad to me.

Food for thought.

  1. Work out in a Fasting State. Keith Norris, at theory to practice.com agrees with workouts while in fasted state. I do one a week at least (when on my game). Going to consciously try again for this challenge. Coffee doesn't count as food, so that helps.
